Summary

A Better Wisconsin Together’s Political Fund was crucial in helping to elect Janet Protasiewicz to the Wisconsin Supreme Court. 

While her opponent, Dan Kelly, attempted to downplay his conservative viewpoints, Judge Protasiewicz was able to secure a liberal majority for the state’s supreme court.

This win was especially important for Wisconsin Democrats, as issues of abortion bans and legislative maps make their way to the state supreme court.

The Creative

Abortion was the core message throughout the campaign, and we incorporated it into much of our advertising. Dan Kelly, the conservative candidate, and Janet Protasiewicz had nearly polar opposite views, allowing us to draw a stark contrast between the two candidates.

The Results

Judge Janet Protasiewicz won the open seat on Wisconsin’s state Supreme Court, upending Republican control of that state's Supreme Court for the first time in 15 years.
