A Valentine for Pinterest

Dear Pinterest,

You are the hottest thing on the Internet right now.

The ladies love you. (At least 97% of them anyways.)

You’re driving more referral traffic than Google+ and you’re almost surpassing Twitter.

Nonprofits are already behind if they’re not using you to engage with supporters.

And you might just even help them raise a little money while they’re at it

You’re even helping teachers come up with lesson plans.

And you once contributed to the most unproductive Sunday of my life in which I spent a whole day pinning things to wear when I go to Iceland. (Spoiler alert: it was a lot of fisherman sweaters.)

Maybe the only people who don’t like you are in Congress? But don’t worry, I’m sure they’ll come flocking to your boards soon.

So Pinterest, the world seems to be at your feet as we all scramble to figure out how best to use you – but in a good way!

Ok. I’m just going to pin a box of chocolates and a bottle of rose wrapped in a hand woven tea towel now just for you.
