The obligatory Friday Night Lights post

I'd like to think that one of these days I'll write a blog post about something substantive (no promises). In the meantime, I'll take this opportunity to wax poetic about my current obsession, Friday Night Lights

About a month ago, on the advice of one Mr. Cameron Cook, I started binge-watching Friday Night Lights. I didn't watch quite ferociously enough to catch up in time for last week's series finale, but I have made it through 57 episodes (usually 3-5 at a time) and am only half-kidding when I tell you that my next tattoo will be of the phrase "Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose."

Friday Night Lights really is one of the best (and most realistic) TV shows I've ever watched. If you've never watched it, I dare you to watch the first season and not get hooked (the first episode is arguably one of the best pilots ever produced). And for those that count themselves among FNL's small but loyal fan base, I present to you post-FNL coping mechanisms, a brilliant oral history, a whole lotta y'alls and one final Coach T pep talk

Texas forever!
