This decision is expected to create massive amounts of web activity to change or create brand specific domain names. This is a very pricey process ($185,000) and will require organizations to apply for these unique addresses. Because of this price, this will be a bidding battle between large organizations.

Gonzalez, president of the new firm, most recently was president at MSHC, where she worked on campaigns for Democrats including former Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) and Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (Ariz.).
